Finding their existing single year budget process limiting, the City of Saskatoon, population 202,000, has chosen TeamBudget to provide them with a multi-year approach to budgeting.
Although the City had a dedicated budget tool, they could only budget one year at a time. With municipalities being asked to do more with less, they realized they needed a solution that provided them with multi-year budgeting. Through an RFP selection process, Questica’s TeamBudget Suite was determined to be the right solution for their needs.
TeamBudget’s unlimited year forecasting will provide a longer vision of their budget, enabling them to allocate funds with more accuracy.
TeamBudget’s “what-if"functionality was of particular interest to the City, as it gives them the opportunity to create multiple budget scenarios, without affecting the current budget.
Implementation has begun and includes integration with Ipicor FMS, the City’s financial system.
