Questica Budget 2020.2 provides new customized features for more flexible, granular data-driven scenario planning.

(BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS, August 28, 2020) – Questica, the leading provider of public sector budgeting solutions, today announced the release of Questica Budget 2020.2, the latest version of its cloud-based budgeting solution. Questica is a subsidiary of GTY Technology Holdings Inc. (Nasdaq: GTYH) (“GTY”), a leading provider of cloud solutions for the public sector.

The update to Questica Budget includes new features and capabilities that provide thoughtful solutions to specific challenges currently facing public sector organizations. The end-to-end software enables data-driven budgeting and decision-making while increasing data accuracy, saving time, and improving stakeholder trust.

“The COVID-19 pandemic has put tremendous strain on already over-extended public sector organizations when it comes to creating budgets and allocating resources,” said Wendie Leest, Director of Customer Success at Questica. “We developed this new version of Questica Budget based on first-hand feedback from our customers about what they need to be successful for pandemic planning. We are excited to bring these new capabilities to our customers, so they have the upgraded tools they need to stay flexible and effective through this challenging time.”

Questica Budget 2020.2 includes new, module-specific features that empower users to:

  • Make changes to positions and salaries at individual and aggregate levels with increased granularity
  • Integrate salary and personnel revisions into reforecast of personnel budgets to allow for future visibility without impacting current costs
  • Introduce new customizations into reporting including new options for frequency, measures, targets, and projections
  • Create template positions to model and propose new personnel without the complexities of the Salaries module
  • Integrate Questica’s powerful modifiers with its statistical budgeting system and ACE calculation system to automate and simplify the budgeting process
  • Add customized validation rules to the system interface to enforce data requirements

Questica Budget 2020.2 also includes a faster and more agile “Sandbox” functionality built on Microsoft Azure Cloud technology. This innovative capability allows users to seamlessly create, refresh and destroy sandboxes within the Questica Budget interface to test upgrades, verify customizations and reports, or run any scenario without endangering production data. This feature is currently only available to those hosted customers that are on the new AQB (Azure Questica Budget) hosting model.

“Data is the key to success, and the more insight we can provide, the more successful our customers can be,” said James Orr, Director of Product at Questica. “This new version of Questica Budget is highly configurable and enables the granular changes that organizations need to make data-driven decisions about their future. With so many unknowns due to the current state of the COVID-19 pandemic, businesses across the board need to be prepared for a wide range of possibilities. The new modules we’ve included in this upgrade allow for much more modeling and scenario planning, which will be incredibly valuable to our customers now and in the future.”

Specifically developed for the public sector, Questica Budget is trusted by governments, non-profits, school systems, colleges, universities, and healthcare organizations across North America.
