  • 1:15 – 2:15 pm: Education Session 1

Topic A – Performance-based Budgeting

We’ll learn how your organization can benefit by and become both more efficient and effective using a performance-based budgeting approach. By using a performance approach to budgeting, organizations emphasize the relationship between spending and results. Performance data is used to make decisions throughout the budget process. By understanding the link between funding and delivery of programs and services, organization can better plan for service levels today and in the future. Plus, we’ll have a roundtable discussion on where your organization is now, what’s planned and what you’d like to see from Questica.

Topic B – Questica OpenBook – Tips and Tools

We’ll explore how easy it is to set up your own OpenBook portal for internal and/or external use. We’ll also highlight how some customers are using Questica OpenBook for transparency and open data projects. Plus, we’ll take a tour of the new features and functions.

Let’s Talk about Projections & Forecasting

Bring your questions and ideas – this is an meant to be an interactive session. Since we know customers need to adjust annual budgets throughout the year, we’ll discuss how Questica Budget users can better utilize the features within the system to ask the “what if, why, when, and how much” when building and running projections and forecasts. We’ll take a look at how to: set-up projections and forecasts using one or more assumptions; compare against actuals; and determine what formulas to use and when to use them. Plus, we’ll cover steps needed to initiate a change request.

Questica Budget Roundtable Session

We’re asking users to bring their questions, advice, tips and ideas to this interactive session about Questica Budget Suite. We’ll touch on areas such as salaries, reporting, sharing information within your organizations, and what on coming soon. But mostly we’d like to know from you: What are you currently doing? What’s working? what’s not optimal? And of course, what would you like to see?

  • Early-bird rate: $149 plus applicable taxes (EXTENDED)
